Power Move

Here we are …week five and Success Principle 7 from Jack Canfield’s The Success Principles.

Unleash the Power of Goal-Setting!

I know what you’re thinking. Goal setting doesn’t work and you are absolutely 100% correct and here’s why.

Your goals are not written down…if your goals are in your head they are just ideas.

Your goals are not specific…the difference between losing weight and losing 20 lbs. is obvious.

Your goals don’t inspire you…your WHY attached to your goals gives it rocket fuel.

Make your Power Move today…write it down, be specific, inspired and remember to allow yourself to stretch and dream big.

PS: Keep you goals handy.

PSPS: Look at your goals daily.

Opportunity Generator

Welcome to week four of exploring Jack Canfield’s Success Principles

Principle 6: Become an Inverse Paranoid.

When I first read this I scratched my brain…then dug a little deeper.

This principle is all about folding “problems” back into themselves so they reappear as opportunities.

Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, wrote that “every negative event contains within it the seed of an equal or greater benefit”.

Today is a good day to take those sour lemons that are laying around and to go make some yummy lemonade!

What’s it all about Alfie?

So here we are…Week Two…only 50 more to go.

When I went to Jack Canfield’s Success Principle’s this week this popped into my head….

What’s it all about Alphie? A song written by Burt Bacharach for the 1966 film Alphie starring  Michael Caine.

What’s it all about, Alfie?
Is it just for the moment we live?
What’s it all about when you sort it out, Alfie?
Are we meant to take more than we give
Or are we meant to be kind?
And if only fools are kind, Alfie
Then I guess it is wise to be cruel
And if life belongs only to the strong, Alfie
What will you lend on an old golden rule?
As sure as I believe there’s a heaven above, Alfie
I know there’s something much more,
Something even non-believers can believe in
I believe in love, Alfie
Without true love we just exist, Alfie
Until you find the love you’ve missed you’re nothing, Alfie
When you walk let your heart lead the way
And you’ll find love any day, Alfie

In Jack Canfield’s The Success Principles he invites us to know why we’re here (Principle 2) and to decide what we want (principle 3).

These two Principles go hand in hand and…we have a tendency to seek the answers outside of ourselves.

Is it possible you already know why you’re here?

Are you willing to go for what you want?

Today’s big take-away…Trust.

Focus for Fifty-Two

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2019!

I was considering what outcomes I would like to achieve this year and was reminded of one of my favorite books…The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. I was fortunate enough to meet him in 2011 and have a signed copy of his first paperback edition released in 2007.

I am also the grateful owner of a 10th Anniversary Edition and thought it might be helpful if I shared these principles with you over the next fifty-two weeks.

Why fifty-two weeks? There are a total of sixty-seven principles and digesting them all at once feels like a lot can be lost…

I hope you’ll join’s to our Success!

PS: Because there are sixty-seven Success Principles we’ll double up on a few.

Success Principle One: Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life

This speaks for itself…however I do recommend lot’s of compassion for ourselves as we take this on.

The North Star

The North Star, also known as Polaris, is known to stay fixed in our sky. It marks the location of the sky’s north pole, the point around which the whole sky turns. That’s why you can always use Polaris to find the direction north.

As I begin to focus on 2019, I started thinking about where my North Star will be this year. What will be the point, the focus around which my whole business turns.

I have meditated and sat in reflection and I know that’s it’s creating more connection, opening to conversation and being more creative.

Where will your North Star be in 2019?

PS: The North Star does move and in about 13,000 years from now the precession of the rotation axis will mean that the bright star Vega will be the North Star.

I Quit!

How many times have these words crossed your mind? Maybe even crossed your lips...

Did you really mean it or did it come from a sense of frustration because things just aren't working?

When I work with my clients through these frustrations, what we often find is they're doing too much...

Too much doing and not enough delegating!

What can you let go of so you can do more of what moves your business forward and less of what doesn't? What would make you say "I'd Never Quit"?

In Gratitude,

PS: Need help sorting through what you can let go of? Reply to this email with the subject line "letting go" and take advantage of a complimentary Business Breakthrough Session with me.

PPS: You'll leave this complimentary session with a clear vision and direction for your business, a sense of the challenges that may be holding you back, a plan for moving forward and a renewed sense of excitement and possibility for your future.

The Yoga of Truthfullness in Business

The Yama’s are the first limb of the 8 limbs of yoga as presented by Patanjali.  Last week we talked about the first of the Yama’s, Ahimsa (non-harming) and how our thoughts, actions or words can literally kill someone’s or even your dreams and ideas.  The second of the Yama’s, Satya, is coming from a place of honesty and truthfulness. That’s it!

Practice Ahimsa and Satya this week as you re-enforce your businesses foundation based on these ancient principles.

Give Support.  Be Honest.  Be your biggest You!

The Yoga of Non-Harming in Business

Practicing the ancient principle or yama of ahimsa (non harming) in business can transform your organization (even if it’s an organization of one).  If someone has a idea, even if YOU don’t think it will work, come from a place of inquiry…how about saying “that’s interesting tell me more” instead of “that will never work”.

Be Inquisitive.  Listen.  Practice Ahimsa.

Are You Excited?

I woke up this morning excited about what was possible for me today and it got me wondering…are you excited too?

Do you realize that what you do and what you offer NO ONE ELSE DOES?  You are uniquely YOU and people come to rely on you for that.  Now that’s exciting!

Show your enthusiasm and your passion for what you do and people can’t help but respond to it.

Be Excited.  Be Bold.  Be Yourself.

Back to School

Yesterday was the first day back to school after summer break.  I remember all of the mixed feelings of going back to school.  I didn’t want summer to end but I was also excited to see all of my friends that I had missed over the summer. There was  lots of anticipation and trepidation about who our teachers would be…and of course everyone had an opinion on if they were “good” or “bad”.

Let’s transport ourselves back to a time of learning, growth and development.  It’s the second day of school.  Who is in your circle of influence?  Do they have a positive or negative influence on your life, business and pursuit of dreams.  What “classes” are you taking to keep you mentally and physically engaged, excited and fit?  Have you chosen teachers and coaches to help keep you focused, motivated and accountable? Is your curriculum balanced between requirements, electives and advanced courses?

I encourage you to make this semester your best ever.
