Are You Listening?

In Part Four of Jack Canfield’s The Success Principles he focuses on how to Create Successful Relationships.

Principle #48 “Be Hear Now”.

Listen a hundred times. Ponder a thousand times. Speak Once.

Source of quote Unknown

Here are a few ideas on how we can “Be Hear Now”:

Argue Less and Listen More.

Be Interested Rather then Interesting.

Ask Powerful Questions.

Be Fully Present.

Did You Know….

“Coaching is one of the most powerful forces for change in the world” says one of my mentors,  Christian Mickelsen.

Bob Nardelli, former CEO of Home Depot and Chrysler, goes as far as to say “I absolutely believe that people, unless coached, never reach their maximum capabilities”.

Want to get to where you’re going faster?  “Hire a personal coach” says Jack Canfield in Principle #45.

I agree. I believe in coaching. I know, I am a coach and a pretty good one…I’m just not good at coaching myself.  I think, if you’re honest with yourself, you’ll agree that you’re not the best coach for you either.

Coaches help you see what you can’t see.

See for yourself….

Clean Up Your Messes…..

And Your Incompletes advises Principle #28.

Easier said than done…that junk closet you’ve been meaning to get to, that letter you’ve been meaning to write, that project you started and didn’t finish or that difficult conversation you know you need to have.

Jack Canfield offers up a system that makes a lot of sense; The Cycle of Completion:

  • Decide- non negotiable
  • Plan – what needs to happen in order to implement
  • Start – implement your plan
  • Continue – keep going don’t get distracted and move on to something else
  • Finish – wrap it up
  • Complete – make sure there are no loose ends

You’ll feel so much better in every way: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually when you can let the weight of your messes and incompletes  go.

Let me know what mess you’re going to start cleaning up by hitting reply and sharing. I want to support you and cheer you on…..

Keep Your Eye On The Prize…

Remember as a kid the intense focus it took to play (and win) at a game?

What was the prize you got when you won?

What’s the game you’re playing today?

What’s the prize you’re aiming for?

Success Principle #27 is about focus. There’s more to what jack Canfield has to say about the topic…however here’s the hack…

Get into the habit of visualizing your ideal next day the night before.

Sweet dreams….

Practice Persistence and the Rule of 5

Why?

Because it’s not always going to be easy. Principle #22.

There will be disappointments and failures on your way to manifesting your dreams and desires.

On your way through your disappointments and failures “Practice the Rule of 5”, Principle #23, in which Jack Canfield recommends that ,every day, you do five specific things that will move your goal toward completion.

I like this concept because it reduces that lengthily, never ending today list to just 5!

What 5 things will you focus on this week?

PS: If you need help identifying your top 5 lets hop on the phone and let me help you: https://my.timetrade.com/book/XSMP2

PSPS: One of my coaches pointed out one time that I can’t see what’s on the tip of my nose but she can…perhaps I can do the same for you.

Keeping Score…

Ugh! Sounds boring, uninspiring and not creative for those creatives of you out there.

However…for the golfer, the tennis advocate and the bowling enthusiast it’s all about the score!

How can we look at Principle #21, Keeping Score For Success, in a different or more creative and inspiring way?

Jack Canfield suggests we “measure what we want, not what we don’t want” and that feels like an entirely different energy.

From that different perspective we can tap into our hearts desires and creatively visualize how we will bring our dreams and desires out into our physical world. Hint: don’t forget to pay attention, to make note of your successes…in other words Measure What Matters.

A message from Dr. Seuss

"You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So... get on your way!"

Dr. Seuss

Today IS your day... do not delay... after July 5th there is no replay!

I'd be honored to help you climb your mountain. Will you join me for Get Ready Get Set GOals?

A great talent once said…..

“If I hold back, I’m no good.”

~Janice Joplin

Are you holding back?

Are you keeping your gifts and greatness to yourself?

Are you hiding behind fear?

Are you ready to be seen?

What will you do today to not hold back?

In Gratitude,
Johanna

Why is today important?

Because its Groundhog Day and in Punxsutawney, PA the famous groundhog Punxsutawney Phil called for six more weeks of winter.

Phil crawled out of his burrow and saw his shadow. We’ll have more winter weather, according to Phil, who made his prediction this morning.

Groundhog Day is also the name of one of the greatest classic American comedies where weatherman Phil Connors, is forced to live the same February 2nd over and over again until he figures out the error of his ways…..

And what does this hysterical movie with Bill Murray have to do with you? Ask yourself….am I in pretty much the same place today as I was last year at this time?

In a year from now, would you like to look back and have a completely different answer…no excuses?

If so…bundle up for a few more weeks of winter and join me here for a Groundhog Day goal setting breakthrough.

In Gratitude,
Johanna

I have something to share

If you've been reading my emails for the past week, you have probably figured out that I was up to something...

You're right!

I deliberately and intentionally sent a series of emails to poke at you about your goals for this year and what you are doing, yes doing, not thinking to bring them into being.

Yesterday, I invited you to write down what you want this year....not what you think you should do but what you want to do...then I suggested that you write down some actions you could take to make them happen.

I am 100% committed to helping you break the cycle of finding yourself beginning the year with good intentions and finding yourself a year later with the same good intentions.

I'm going to make it fun, easy and affordable for you to take the steps needed to accomplish your goals and get what you really want this year!

Check your email tomorrow morning...Thursday, February 2nd when I make you an irresistible offer to join me, and a bunch of other action takers, to Get Ready Get Set Goals 2017.

With Gratitude,
Johanna
